The Fosters

Jamie sits on the couch looking down like she wants to crawl into the carpet. The social worker drones on about her shitty childhood while Ron and Mary smile with this fake sweetness that makes her stomach turn. She can't even meet their eyes. Mary's already reaching over, petting her hair. 'You'll be just fine here, honey,' she purrs. Ron laughs that he and Mary Foster were made to foster. The social worker buys it. When she leaves, Jamie freezes as Ron points to his lap and tells her to come be a good girl. Her face burns.
