Invasion Of Privacy

Scene starts with Tammy on the phone, bitching to her girlfriend while she wipes down counters. Fresh out of a breakup and into a new spot, she's already losing track of her shit around the place. Cut to a few days later. She steps out of the shower, towel barely hanging on, and spots an unlit cigarette on the floor. The girl's never smoked a day in her life. She stares at it like it might bite, then grabs it and spins around, eyes darting over every corner. She rings Ray the super, voice tight, asking who the fuck's been inside. He swears nobody came in and brings up the ex-tenant might still have a key. That drops a rock in her gut, but he promises the building's solid. Fast forward. Tammy gets home, sees her door cracked open, and her stomach flips. She calls Ray again, practically begging him to come swap the locks. He shows up quick, does the job, and leaves her feeling safer than she has in weeks. Thing is, there's shit Tammy doesn't know about Ray. Stuff that'd have her bolting the second he stepped past the threshold.
