Rose spots a post from Lizbeth’s company bragging about LGBTQ support and it makes her blood boil. She knows the CEO, her own stepmom, is straight-up homophobic and everyone on the family Zoom calls proves it. So Rose pulls the old video from last Thanksgiving—Lizbeth fuming, calling queers ‘confused fad-chasers’—and slaps it online. Morning after, the clip’s clocking millions. Lizbeth strolls in all smiles, cooing apologies. Rose laughs, tells her the Internet has already torched her rep. Lizbeth keeps the sweet talk, says she wants to fix things. Rose calls bullshit: ‘You want a press moment, don’t you? Us kissing on morning TV while everyone cheers?’ Lizbeth admits it. Rose has the upper hand and squeezes. First, actual policy changes at the company—no bullshit rainbow logos, real money, real programs. Lizbeth nods. Then Rose drops the second bomb: Lizbeth has to learn what lesbian actually feels like, naked and underneath her stepdaughter. Lizbeth goes pale, but images of a drowning stock price flash by and she croaks out a shaky yes.
