Penny Barber stands there flipping through index cards, and the first one reads vulva. Spikey doesn't know the word. She tells him what it is straight up. He gets a little red, but spells it right and they keep going. Next card hits like a hammer: cunnilingus. Penny’s eyebrows shoot up. She’s thinking, what spelling bee is this? Spikey’s lost again, so she explains it, and his face turns beet red. He stumbles through the letters. Then he feels it, that unmistakable stiffening in his pants, and he panics. “What if this happens at the bee, right in front of everybody?” Penny has an idea, one she puts out plain: fuck the tension away so he walks into that gym light and loose. Spikey nods, she strips fast, climbs on, and rides him hard. Every thrust knocks the nerves right out of him. By the time they’re done, he’s emptied, calm, and ready to spell whatever they throw at him. Helpful stepmoms really are the best.
